Meet Dylan and Christy
Fitzgerald is home. We just happen to live up the road now.
We're Dylan and Christy, and Fitzgerald is where we're from. We're high school sweethearts who grew up here, and both of our families still live in town, so when we come back, we're coming back to the people who raised us.
I have always loved old houses, and the historic homes in Fitzgerald most of all. When this 1908 house came available, I wanted a place of our own here, somewhere comfortable and a little bit special for our family to land whenever we drove down to see everyone. Buying it felt less like a purchase and more like keeping a piece of home.
Between the two of us, I tend to be the one dreaming up what's next for the house, and Christy is the one who makes you feel at home in it. She's a host at heart. She notices the small things, the fresh sheets, the note left on the counter, the text that answers your question before you have to ask it twice, and it shows in the way guests write about their stays.
What we love most is the reason you're here. Over the years we've hosted families in town for a wedding, cousins back for a reunion, travelers breaking up a long drive to Florida, and people coming home to say goodbye to someone they loved. Every stay has a story, and hearing them is our favorite part of doing this.
We've settled in North Georgia now, but we come back as often as we can. We brought our four kids down all through their childhood so they could feel the small-town beauty of the place we come from, the slow mornings, the front porches, the way everybody waves. We love the history of Fitzgerald, the people of Fitzgerald, and any chance to support the town that made us.
When you stay at Lemon & Lee, you get the house we'd want our own family in, and a couple of locals who are glad to point you toward the good coffee, the best breakfast, and the quiet corners most visitors miss. Whatever brings you to Fitzgerald, we're glad it brought you here, and we hope you leave loving the town a little the way we do.
